Albert Copeland is an attorney whose practice focuses on representing investors in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrations. He is a graduate of Furman University and the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Albert was particularly committed to trial advocacy. As a member of the National Trial Advocacy Competition Team, he traveled across the country participating in criminal and civil law tournaments.

Upon graduation, Albert began his legal career as an associate attorney at a regional defense firm in Birmingham, Alabama where his practice focused on general liability litigation. He then worked with Copeland Franco Screws & Gill, P.A. where his practice included advocating for public investors in FINRA arbitrations as well as assisting a nationally ranked accounting and advisory firm in professional liability litigation matters.

Albert is an active member of the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA), which is an international bar association whose members represent investors in disputes with the securities industry. In 2020, Albert served as co-chair of PIABA’s Young Member Section, and he joins the association in their mission to advocate for equal access to justice for investors and to promote fairness in the rules governing dispute resolution for investor claims against securities and commodities brokerage firms, registered investment advisory firms, and their associated representatives.

Albert and his wife, Adelaide, live in Birmingham, Alabama. Together they enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Albert and Adelaide attend the Church of the Advent in downtown Birmingham.
